RDT seeks to strengthen the culture of research, considered a priority aspect at the School of Design, based on support for competitive governmental  funds, participation in publications and attendance to congresses and academic events.

Inserted in the undergraduate and graduate areas of the Unit, it seeks to strengthen the research culture by supporting the funds competition, publication and assistance to academic events, as a priority aspect of academic development of the School of Design.

Objectives

  1. Support professors and students in the formulation, development and closure of formal investigations through the registry and knowledge of competitive funds and their application platforms, bases and instructions to guide them, in a personalized manner in the available instruments. Internal funds of the University will be considered, such as those of the Vice-Rectory of Research; and national public competitions of various institutions, such as CORFO (Seed Capital- Capital Semilla), CONICYT (FONDECYT, FONDEF), National Council of Culture and the Arts, among others.
  2. Keep the academics, students and former students of the School of Design informed about the current competitive funds, through an online platform that allows keeping updated information.
  3. Support the dissemination of research in the academic and public sphere through the promotion of participation in international cooperation activities, scientific meetings, national or international seminars, publications and presence in local media.
  4. Keep an up-to-date register of attendance at conferences, publications and formal research conducted by the professors of the School of Design.
