Folding Culture: The Yagán – Citroën Chile’s version of the Baby Bousse

El artículo, resultado de una investigación sobre el automóvil Yagán, fabricado en Chile en el año 1970 gracias a la alianza entre Corfo y Citroën, analiza la historia de su diseño y su impacto en la cultura contemporánea. Así, es posible comprender “… how mechanical failures and repairs are understood as an opportunity for reflection and aesthetic experience that changes and enriches the plot of the stories. These unexpected actions allow one to approach the object from within operations, dialogs, or devices that are more complex than simply sitting at the steering wheel. In this process the car also gradually starts to be culturally charged, to receive distinct cultural loads, to the point of embodying and materializing, in one and the same object, the paradoxical adaptations of the early socialist and neoliberal experiments in Chile.”,month%20DESC
